On May 17th, Asparuh Koev, Transmetrics CEO and Co-Founder, presented at 2018 European Conference of Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) in Rotterdam.
Mr. Koev delivered a presentation about using Big Data and Artificial Intelligence to optimize transport networks. During the session, Transmetrics CEO talked about the current state of the Logistics sector, and what potential new technologies have in improving the industry. To prove the effectiveness of these methods, Mr. Koev introduced the audience to the successful case of Speedy (DPD Bulgaria) decreasing total costs by 7-9% after using Transmetrics innovative predictive planning platform.
“The problem is really with the data. In logistics industry, we are still stuck with people who need to rely on their gut feeling. Unless we don’t overcome this problem, there is no way forward for the industry” – added Mr. Koev.
