On April 23rd, Transmetrics visited INTTRA Technology Summit 2018, an annual invite-only shipping event focused on collaboration across container shipping intended to advance the digital transformation of the ocean freight industry.
The conference served as a great place to learn about the current state of the ocean shipping industry and where it is heading. One of the prevalent topics was the importance of data, AI and predictive analytics which served as a good validation that Transmetrics is heading in the right direction with our predictive optimization offering to the ocean shipping market called AssetMetrics.
According to the organizers, more than 130 senior shipping executives attended INTTRA Technology Summit and over 50% of them were C-level industry professionals, with 38% representing shippers and beneficial cargo owners, 35% technology companies and 27% carriers, respectively.
“INTTRA is well positioned to drive the collaborative effort required to address industry challenges such as a contracted rates management network and data interoperability, as well as landside equipment optimization through Avantida. It is clear, based on the feedback from our attendees and the momentum in our business, that the industry has moved over the digitalization tipping point. This is the year of moving from innovation to action.” – said INTTRA CEO John Fay.
Transmetrics would like to thank Peter Spellman, CTO of INTTRA for the invitation and the opportunity to connect with so many interesting industry professionals and innovators.
