Transmetrics Presents at Intermodal Europe 2018

On the 6th and 7th of November, Transmetrics participated in Intermodal Europe 2018 conference, which took place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Transmetrics CEO and co-founder, Asparuh Koev, presented at the Smart Shipping & Logistics Forum as part of the Container Optimization and Platform Collaboration session. In his presentation, Mr. Koev discussed how container owners can utilize machine learning and predictive analytics to optimize empty container logistics. At the end of the presentation, Mr. Koev was joined on stage by Carlo Zaalberg, Global Director Logistics at NileDutch, who shared his experience of working with Transmetrics and the benefits of using AI and predictive optimization tools to reduce the costs of empty container repositioning. The presentations were followed by a Q&A session during which the attendees could learn more about the project and the technology.

During the Intermodal Europe exhibition, the participants had a chance to visit Transmetrics’ booth to learn more about company’s predictive optimization products and the potential of technologies like machine learning and predictive analytics for the intermodal and container logistics industries.

Intermodal Europe is the world-leading exhibition and conference for companies associated with the container and intermodal industries. It covers all areas of container transport and logistics across road, rail, and sea. The event provides an invaluable industry forum, bringing together high-quality speakers, key exhibitors and logistics professionals from all around the globe.
This year, the event welcomed more than 6,000 participants from 75+ countries. They had a chance to meet with over 140 exhibitors including companies like SeacoTITAN ContainersSany, Maersk Container Industry, Caru Containers and others.
