For the third year in a row, Transmetrics participated in 3PL & Supply Chain Summit, an annual meeting of the leading C-Level 3PL executives organized by eft, which took place in Düsseldorf, Germany on 29-31st of October. According to the organizers, more than 500 senior supply chain and logistics executives attend the event each year.
This year, a diverse set of forward-looking leaders and executives from Adidas, DHL, HP, JD.COM, Geodis, UPS, and other companies took part in the summit, delivering exclusive keynotes which addressed multiple topics including digitalization of the supply chain, omnichannel distribution, eCommerce and how to best tackle the capacity crisis. Among the most notable speakers were Mark Wilkinson (XPO Logistics), Lori Chao (JD.COM), Philippe De Carné (GEODIS), Alexandra Morton (Adidas) and others.
There were also a number of interesting panels such as “Overcome the capacity “scissor effect” of growing demands and limited availability” with participation of Sebastiaan Scholte, CEO, Jan de Rijk Logistics; Christian Berlin, Director Road Liquid, Imperial Logistics and Michael Gierloff, Director European Transport Sourcing & Supply Chain Collaboration, CHEP during which the audience was encouraged to ask questions and participate in the conversations, for example, about the issue of driver shortages across Europe.

For Transmetrics, the summit provided a great opportunity to network with the senior supply chain and logistics executives and to discuss the potential of technologies like machine learning and predictive analytics and the ways the logistics players are applying these technologies today.
“It is the 3rd year in a row we are partnering with EFT and attending their great events. I truly believe that 3PL & Supply Chain Summit not only creates a very open-minded atmosphere to discuss the most pressing issues and operational challenges in logistics industry but also educates the market about available innovative solutions which can make the difference and help the industry players to pave their way towards operational excellence,” – shared Anna Shaposhnikova, Transmetrics CCO and Co-Founder.
Transmetrics would like to thank eft (eye for transport), the organizers of European 3PL & Supply Chain Summit, and Paddy Le Count in particular for their kind invitation and for a chance to meet with a lot of forward-looking logistics industry professionals.
